All I can think of here is that it's like the legends of old, where someone breathed life into the pages, taking words and bending their shape to form creations, or illusions with the substance of life. It's different, but does that have to be bad necessarily? I don't see why people would be in a rush to change it, since it's harmless. Brighter and cheerier than usual, anyway. One would think those all suspicious were dearly attached to the city. Or is "kidnapping" a new term of endearment?
