[Gilbert just nods his head a little at that, still mostly keeping his face hidden. Though he looks up, startled when the door opens. And he peeks up at Naoki from where he's standing forlornly in front of the mirror. He kind of hesitates for a moment, unsure just how weirded out Naoki is by this. Also he's kind of trying not to wind up crying. ...he's close. This is a nightmare.]
[Gilbert has seen weirder things. He's just never personally been involved in something this weird. Or involved in something this personally. But he sort of tries compose himself, and fails before sort of moving very quickly over to Naoki to hug him tightly. ...damnit he's shorter. Alice is shorter. Oh oh this is just... He's just going to hold on, ok?] Naoki, I... thank you.
[He tightens his arms around him. He really appreciates the comfort, more than he's going to be very good at saying. But he nods, face mostly buried against Naoki's chest at the moment. Not going to cry. Not going to cry. Not going to cry.] Mm. It will. It has to. [He peeks up at him though, through a dark fringe of bangs.]
[That smile helps, and Gilbert can't put to words how much he appreciates it.] I trust you. [And he's not going to let go right now, sorry Naoki. He turns into that touch though.]
[Gilbert turns into that hand. And he's calming down. Naoki tends to have that effect on him. And he nods at that.] Mm. I-it can't last that long. [And now? He's pouting. And if it's obvious on his usual face? It's even more so on Alice's.]
[Gilbert is about to consider this before Alice's stomach answers for him with a loud growl. Oh god the idiot rabbit is a bottomless pit.] Ah... m-maybe I could eat something.
I could use a cigarette. [Pause. Mutter.] ...probably shouldn't have a cigarette.
