Once Toge had relieved himself (and Goro had cleaned it up), Goro returned to the apartment long enough to wash his hands and feed the dog. Leaving the dog to apartment sit, Goro had headed out again to make a run to the grocery store, but had ended up lost. Wandering, and occasionally glancing at his communicator in case a map felt like showing up (which it didn't), Goro sighed and looked around, gaze wandering before it stopped on the dojo.
"...A dojo?"
Walking towards it, Goro noticed someone in front of it. Goro took a breath and did what came naturally. Lifting his right hand in a wave, he called.
"Good morning!"

"Good morning," He began. "Are you out for a morning walk?" Kenshin's question was asked with a friendly lilt. It was amazing how many people had been brought to this city against their will, and even more amazing was the variety there of. It seemed that there was no end to the differences each of the people in the city had, from their origins to their abilities to defend themselves and more.
Just from looking at the style of dress Goro wore this morning, Kenshin at least knew he was from a very different time than Kenshin himself.

Brushing some hair out of his eyes, Goro looked between the dojo and Kenshin.
"Is this your dojo?"
Reply
"Aaa. No. This one does not own this dojo, or any others. This one is a rurouni." Though, he had to admit that that title was one that he hadn't used in a long time. Even if he was stuck in this city for the time being, he had more or less settled down and grown accustomed to staying at Kaoru's place.

It was a quiet gesture, one meant to be one of kindness. Kenshin re-opened the umbrella and held it over the brown haired man's head, as his gaze followed where Italy was looking. He didn't say too quiet, instead choosing to speak.
"You should be better prepared for a day like today." He smiled, his violet colored eyes darting over to look back at Italy again.

His brown eyes met Kenshin's, gazing at him in quiet fascination. They were violet, like Russia's, but they struck Italy as far kinder. A giggle escaped him. "Ve~ Germany says that, too!" He wrinkled his nose. "He says I don't plan ahead."
Italy turned his gaze upwards, to the umbrella, then gazed back at Kenshin with a smile. "But sometimes you just have to go into the world unprepared and trust that there will be a kind stranger willing to share their umbrella."

The second part however, caught the red haired swordsman off guard. His gaze followed Italy's to fix on the outstretched umbrella. He laughed again. "Ah. You have figured this one out." He glanced back at the dojo. "This one was waiting to see when the dojo grounds would open. He was hoping to take a look inside." There was a pause before he continued. "It looks like the thunderstorms will ease up soon. You should keep the umbrella for next time."

"Ah! Good morning! I hope you have not been standing out here very long! I was not expecting anyone to be here quite this early!" Don't mind his loud enthusiasm, Kenshin.

"Aaah. This one was simply exploring. He had noticed the dojo from a few blocks over and wanted a better look.} He paused, offering something of a laugh. "Are you the one running it?"
Reply
"I am one of the people running it, yes! Musashi-dono is the one that put all the effort into cleaning up the building so that we could use it!" He laughs a bit, himself. "But Taiwan-dono thought that it needed... Some more color."

"What sort of kendo are you planning on teaching here? Is it for everyone to learn?" The questions were general, but Kenshin was genuinely curious. He had to wonder if Kaoru would have tried to do the same thing, were she stuck in this city with them all.

So while he was replacing some of the furniture, he noticed the man gazing at the dojo.
But instead of welcoming him straight off, he snuck round behind him, ready to attack.

By now it had stopped raining for the time being, so Kenshin closed his umbrella and shook the excess water off, almost as if he was passing the time. He was debating what he should do in this situation -- dodging wouldn't be too hard, but there was no sense in making a big fuss over something that didn't seem to be hostile.
Kenshin had to wonder what the other man was thinking though.

Considering that they were still very much in the open (the town only had so many places to hide behind), Musashi's movements were very limited. At least, until he after he ambushes the man.
Which he will do. Right now. Out of his hiding spot, Musashi leaps out, brandishing his bokken and oar, sweeping them straight at the red head. Time to see how this stranger responds!

He stumbled artfully, mostly on one foot before catching himself all too easily. "O-ororo!" Kenshin made a show of wincing, before dusting himself off a bit. While he wanted to avoid sticking out, there was no sense in letting himself get seriously injured. Feigning surprise, he glanced at his attacker with an apologetic look on his face.
"Aah... Has this one stumbled onto a training exercise?"

What he found was rather...interesting. A bright pink dojo, sticking out like the metaphorical sore thumb he had heard his shipmates complain about in several different occasions. Not completely distracted by the brightly colored building, Spock also noted someone standing in front of it - another resident of the city perhaps.
The boots clicking on the street from where he walked did nothing to hide the Vulcan's presence as he approached the red-head wearing what looked to be a historical costume. 'I should assume those are his usual ( ... )

"The streets seem to be busy this morning despite the rain." He wondered briefly if the oddly colored dojo had caught the other man's attention as well. Kenshin noted there were several rather distinguishing features about this person. Something not quite human, perhaps? It wouldn't be impossible, Kenshin had met quite a few people in the city that weren't human. This man seemed to hold himself differently, quite disciplined. It was actually quite respectable.
((ooc: sorry this took so long! LJ's little issue this past week kind of ruined my drive!))

"Has this dojo always been of this color? It is from my understanding of Earth's history, from what they taught at Starfleet, that this color was only used on items that were not buildings. Perhaps pink was as an accent color, but never used as a color to cover the entire building..."
[ooc: No worries! :3]

There's something about his mannerisms and the way he talks that is not familiar at all, and it piques Kenshin's interest. At the mention of "Earth's History" Kenshin's attention shifts sharply to the man near him. His features catch Kenshin's attention first, the warrior filing away the information from observation quietly.
"It seems this city is full of anomalies..." He chuckles once he's done speaking.
