[It was a good thing that drone had a name now, because Rikku was able to pick out which one it was. And because she could, it was easy enough to install a transmitter in its body so she'd get a single whenever it came or went from the hotel premises. Just a little extra safety measure, one she hadn't yet told Elena. Or Rufus, for that matter. So far, it was her own little secret. More of a test-drive kind of thing, but it seemed to be working well.

Well enough for her to notice that Rufus had been gone all night. And boy, was she going to give him a piece of her mind. Once that signal came in, Rikku was out of her workshop and into the lobby, her sternest expression on her face. And her voice was equally as sharp. She was too focused on being mad at him to notice anything wrong.]

Where the vilg have you been, huh?!

[fearmongering]

[Rufus isn't use to being scolded like a teenager, or being scolded... Ever. Granted, as a teenager he'd attempted to destroy ShinRa and take it from his Father. All the same, being accosted by somebody when walking though the door is not something he expects.

[Rikku isn't a very physically imposing person at just short of 5'5" and mostly skin and bone, but she could try. Her brow was furrowed and hands on her hips, one hip cocked to the side. The effect was lessened by her distinct lack of appropriate clothing (thieves needed to move around!), but she hoped it was frightening enough.]

[Cheek puffs out in annoyance, fingers drum on her hip bones.]

[That is why she does it. Mostly.]

[NEVER GIVING UP] The usual. And stop changing the subject! What's wrong with you? [Squint, squint.]

She needed a bit of medical attention. You know I like keeping tabs on what is going on. [Read: He likes putting his fingers in all the pies he can. Information was hard to come by, after all.]

[Eyebrow raise.] What is wrong with me? I am fine, Rikku.

[chrysophilist]

[Disapproves.] And you couldn't have like, brought me? You know I can heal!

You look super-pale, pucc.

[fearmongering]

[He pushes his hair back with a hand.] She needed energy, that kind of healing, Rikku.

[chrysophilist]

[It takes Rikku a moment to comprehend what he's said, and then she's to him in a moment, hand pressed against his forehead to check his temperature. Because that's relevant at the moment.] How much did you give her? You were able to make it back here, obviously, but still... [WORRY, WORRY, CONCERN, CONCERN]

As much as she needed.

[Testing his own limits in the process, see how much he had healed and how much he could take of it. Rufus is indeed the type to do what he has to for the trust when he wanted them to fall into it. He lets his tone turn teasing.]

[She leans back, arms crossed.] I'm not doting! Just making sure you're okay. Now c'mon. Elena will gut me if she finds out I let you sit around like this and didn't do anything.

[He's teasing her, which he reveals when he smirks at Rikku but stands up, apperantly giving in to being treated by her.
