When the floor of the church had given way underneath his weight, Allen had only several split seconds to react, and he'd done it with his usual flailing flair. That was what had launched his pocket watch out of his hand and sent it flying, only to land on the floor while he himself fell down into the darkness underneath the rotten floor beams of the church. He'd tried to catch a grip on the edge of the hole that had collapsed under him, but to no avail, wherever the bottom of this hole was, was where Allen Walker was going to wind up. The fall itself seemed to have taken forever, but eventually the unplanned trip ended with the white haired exorcist landing flat on his back. As he yelped in pain, Allen's head cracked against the floor as well, just hard enough to knock him out. The world faded to black for Allen then, the last thing he heard was the rhythmic drip of something beyond the dark corridor he landed in.

When his bleary eyes opened next, all he saw above him was darkness, and a circle of light far above where he was now prone. Allen refrained form moving a first, instead choosing to try and ignore the shooting pain that his nerves were sending to his brain. Eventually, he lifted one arm and sat his hand palm down onto the ground to push himself into an upright position. His head throbbed in protest, but the gray eyed boy ignored it and pressed onward, until his form was in a mostly upright position. Where was he? Allen remembered falling, but how long had he been out? With a frown and a wince, Allen pulled himself up to his feet. So far, everything seemed to be in working order.
"Tch..." Allen Winced, the exhale slipping past his grimaced lips before he could catch it. One gray eye winced as he set a dark gloved hand to the small of his back. Ow. This really, really sucked. Allen looked back up towards the hole, and frowned. It was such a long way up, the walls of the catacomb he had fallen into simply faded into black before reaching the ring of light above. Would anyone know that he was down here? Allen looked at his surroundings, noting the dank atmosphere, and unlit path that lead in either direction away from him. With a sigh he took a step over to one of the walls and set his hand against it. Solid stone, wasn't it? Allen's head bowed.
"I'm going to be in a lot of trouble... All of this, right after I promised I would be careful." Allen's lips curled up into a minute smile. He'd have to explain himself later, if he could find a way out. He did, however, remember that he and Lavi had been speaking just before he fell. Would the bookman figure out what had happened and come help him out? Allen laughed at the idea, but simultaneously dreaded the teasing that would result. The exorcist's face fell flat, as he leaned forward to rest his forehead against the cool stone wall.
For now, the best idea was to sit back and wait to see if help came.
