Search for the Heart of Light [Near the Catacomb's Entrance] limitless_land March 4 2011, 09:52:28 UTC
One of the most dangerous locations possible for a search; the darkness is almost tangible, and is if you include the Heartless waiting here for those who have followed this lead. However, they might just find a spark of light deep within the darkness where a boy lies, barely maintaining consciousness...

But can they get through the darkness to find him?

Heartless of the usual monsters who lurked in the forest guard him, keeping watch over the lost hero of the realm of light. Sora is running out of time.

The ghostly cry of a horse was what heralded Celty's arrival. She'd wasted no time in questioning the information given- she had a feeling they hadn't that time to waste. Her matte-black motorcycle sped through the streets for the back of the cathedral where the catacombs lay. She knew the place all right, but it had been a while since she'd gone.

Swinging off her vehicle-mount, she patted it lovingly. If things get too crazy out here, head back to the clinic. It would seem strange behavior around a motorcycle, but Celty didn't linger beside it any longer, and once she's given her orders, she turned towards the graveyard. The Heartless were lurking, as expected, and she was ready for them.

Hand stretching outward, the shadowy scythe slithered from the tendrils of blackness that seeped from her hands. Swinging it outward, she leveled the visor of her helmet towards the moving Shadows before her, charging.

The footsteps drew her attention, and Celty whirled about to see who was coming her way. At least she'd managed to clear the Heartless that had popped up, so Kairi would for the moment, receive her full attention.

Seeing that the girl was no threat, the Black Rider stepped closer to her to offer her a hand up. To the question posed, she gave a nod.

Barred Entries and Hidden Hearts [The Cathedral] limitless_land March 4 2011, 09:56:09 UTC
It would seem that all is calm in this sanctuary after the ruckus only days ago where the young trio fought each other. Too quiet, one would say... until a certain creature wrapped in chains is spotted in the back, waiting for whomever would attempt to enter and search this place for those who are lost.

Though, it seems to be guarding something... What could the darkness be hiding?

He'd said he was near the Cathedral, right? After searching around the general area outside, Liu takes a few tentative steps into the Cathedral itself. His staff is held in front of him, shedding a very faint light in the infinite gloom. The darkness and silence is a little unnerving, hiding secrets in the shadows. Quite literally, even, as Liu spots that creature.

"Guys?" Liu calls behind him, trying to keep the nerves out of his voice. "I think you have to come in here."

Jale steps in right after, the dull thudding of his boots echoing loudly throughout the huge Cathedral interior. It's quiet, but it's not the good kind of quiet. He lowers his newly acquired battle axe from his shoulder to a more ready position, halting beside Liu to appraise the the shadowy shapes on the far side of the building. There's something deeply unsettling about those shadows, something different from the Heartless roaming around outside.

This won't be easy, but it doesn't need saying.

"What's goin' on?" Sieg trots after the other two, not liking the feeling of the place at all. He never liked the place in general, but now it seems even more ominous than usual.

He gasps as he catches a glimpse of the movement within, but it's still pretty dark that he can't quite make it out- only guesses that it'd be another horde of Heartless. Frowning, he brandishes both his blades. "Get ready, guys."

Lurking Amongst the Trees and Shadow [Search for Ansem] limitless_land March 4 2011, 09:58:45 UTC
The forest is abuzz with activity- monsters who had once inhabited the wooded areas have been replaced by their Heartless selves with a stray Nobody or two already causing trouble for them. Will the white husks attack those who are searching? Probably not, but there would still be the likelihood that they cannot completely stop the Heartless from attacking those wandering aimlessly in search for the one responsible for this travesty.

The path ahead is guarded heavily by stronger Heartless; most of them are the same Neoshadows the residents have faced the last few days. However, they're the only small fry to be found in the woods. By their side?

Well, expect two of these royal pains and a Darkside or two.

When in doubt, aim for the horns.

He still hadn't heard from Yukimura or any of the others that made their home in the forest-house, but Masamune wasn't about to think that they'd gotten in over their head. That house had some formidable warriors. He shouldn't worry about them ( ... )

That guess would be more correct than Masamune could ever realize. However, it isn't just the Neoshadows lurking in the trees. As those of a hive mind, they seem to vanish once he makes it into a clearing before the ground shakes; a gigant portal of darkness opens as one of the most powerful of Pureblood Heartless pulls itself from the dark depths...

The Darkside pulls itself up to stand at its full height, yellow eyes gleaming down on its opponent. Could you be strong enough to slay this beast? Here comes the opportunity to find out.

Its massive right claw glows with the darkness before it is slammed into the ground near Masamune, summoning another dark portal. To attack the fist - one of its weak points - or go after the Shadows that appear through the portal?

From his experience, if an enemy were holding his ground somewhere, then it stood to reason that the stronger fighters would be standing sentinel in order not to let anyone get past. The sudden disappearance of the lesser creatures didn't go unnoticed, and Masamune took a step back, taking up a defensive stance once his entrance into the clearing had summoned his next opponent.

As the large Heartless emerged from the dark portal, the blue-clad warlord grinned viciously. "Oh, now that's more like it."

He lept back and away as that massive fist came crashing into the ground not far from where he'd been standing. His blade gleamed as he pulled it back, darting towards the Darkside's fist to slash at it while it was still outstretched. Easiest way to defeat an enemy was to disarm it, after all. If those Shadows got in his way, he'd deal with them when it came to it.

Eclipsed Land's Final Stand [Freeing the Captive Heart] limitless_land March 4 2011, 10:03:31 UTC
Should you make it past the Heartless greeters, you will arrive at a small clearing in the trees. In it, a boy with silver hair stands with his back to you, staring up at the heart-shaped moon in the sky. The aura around him is intimidating yet much less strong under the pale light of Kingdom Hearts. However, that doesn't mean he should be underestimated.

Is he the one you have been searching for, and if so... dare you approach?

(ooc: Special delivery. One cool kid about to get her ass kicked, coming right up.)Not far from the clearing, the mild clanging of footfalls could be heard. Her pace had been surprisingly fast despite the darkness that saturated the forest. Of course, there were other things to attest to it, too. The lack of keyblade worked to her advantage in this instance, for one. She hadn't realized how attracted the Heartless had been to it. But without the weapon, they didn't seem as avid to follow her. Of course, it also seemed to further hint to the fact that whatever heart she had was hardly even worth a snack either. Something she had considered but didn't dwell on. There were far more important things at stake ( ... )

[OOC: Poor, poor Xion. >:]

The 'boy' heard those footfalls; a familiar weight, even though it seemed somewhat metallic compared to what this boy was used to. It was just barely enough to make him raise an eyebrow before moving his head slightly to peer at the form behind him. Who would dare-

That armor... He recognized it vaguely; it belonged to-

But that voice did not. His eyes narrowed in detest as the pieces began to click into place. "Come to fight fire with a mere spark, just like this boy?" The sinister intent was not lost in his tone as he picked up the blade that rested in the ground. How truly amusing, this 'girl' coming to save his body from him when she was nothing more than a puppet herself. The Heart above their heads truly did hold a sense of humor. "Or perhaps just like before...

"Tell me, doll. How would you feel to find that this boy held back fighting you?"

Nothing more than a puppet. Those were words she, herself, had said long ago. She accepted it- what she was. She couldn't shake what she came to be. It was a fate that couldn't be changed, no matter how much she had avoided it, ran from it, for nearly a year. But this puppet had grown from the mere doll that fought Riku in front of Beast's Castle.

"Tch." It was barely heard, but it was there. Her aggravation from his string of questions. An aggravation that quickly twisted into a retort. "If that's true, then a spark's more than enough." Riku stopped Ansem from controlling him before, didn't he? She didn't know the full details, but she realized enough that something like that had to take a lot to do. He was stronger. He could stop Ansem, she was certain. He just... needed a reminder of that, perhaps. She pushed off from there, taking a few steps further, already on edge and taunt, seemingly just waiting on a cue.

"Why did you bring it here? Kingdom Hearts. What do you plan to do with it?"The concept that one could gain a heart ( ... )
