The sun had long set, but it hadn't been too many hours once night had spread its blanket over the city. The snow on the ground was slightly slushy, proof that the weather had started to warm, if just a little, but it was still chilly, and even though Les wore a coat, it wasn't very insulated to be of use for proper winter wear. It hadn't even been winter when he'd left headquarters- whenever he'd left headquarters.
He'd stopped trying to make sense of things, and despite having only received minimal information at best of his current situation, that this was made out to be a common occurrence here made him set his panic and confusion to the side for the time being. The boy was tired; he had stayed awake all night the previous...whenever it was, awaiting Ruskin to come back to the room so he could tell him good night before turning in, but the man never showed up. ...and then I was looking for Wilhelm, because Mister Ruskin was concerned about how he was acting.... Except he never did find either of them. Instead, he found himself here, in this place.
Ruby City, Jayne had called it. Kidnapped by vampires, though? It sounded a little hard to believe, but then so did arriving by some phantom train. It was a lot to think about, and Les didn't feel like he'd be able to do so very well at this point. He plodded along down the empty street, peering from just beneath the edge of his hood to see if he could find anyplace that would suffice for shelter, even if temporarily.
"....cold..." He'd tucked away the strange watch in favor of being able to cup his hands in vain attempt to keep them warm as he blew into them. His surroundings were unnervingly still. It was much too quiet in this place, much too lonely.
