"I don't think anyone's been in here since," Christine supplies quietly. She doesn't want to speak too loud, or touch anything she shouldn't. She's just here for moral support, to carry back things, maybe. Her hands are in her pockets, scarf wrapped around up to just under her mouth. "There's enough buildings here that some of them just get ignored, I suppose, if no one's living there."

"Mn...I suppose you're right," Elraine nods back meekly before making her way to the back door. Pausing with her hand on the knob, she takes a deep breath to calm herself. Her heart is already fluttering with anxiety, but she had to be strong. Always stay so strong...

The door creaks open loudly, reflecting the lack of use as Elraine moves forward with purpose. Lights flickering on, it's almost as if she stepped back into the time when she and Kiri had just left. Everything was untouched with books and fabric spread out over the table, dishes overdue to be washed in the skin, the closet left partially opened, and her plushie and uniform laying on the bed. A small sigh escapes her when she finally moves forward to close and stack the books on the table, not daring to look at her bed yet. "I really should take these back to the library."

Christine stays a few steps behind, hovering in the doorway, but moving with Elraine anyway, wanting to not be too far away. At the mention of the books, she nods. "If you've got a box around, I can pack them up for you."

"There should be some in the closet by the sink. There's some bags in there if that's better..." She trails off as her gaze moves over to the makeshift bed made up of two. Setting down the books, she lets out a small laugh before moving over and picking up her Sister uniform. Elraine doesn't acknowledge the plushie, but her there's a reluctance and acceptance in her expression as she makes her way to the dressing stand.

"Would you mind if I put this on? I'll be quick."

"Not at all, I'll take my time getting something for the books," she says with a crooked sort of smile, not sure if the familiarity of the Sister uniform will be a good or bad thing.

Nodding, Elraine moves out of sight behind the stand and begins changing into her uniform. It's chilly in the room and she shivers after putting on the cold fabric. The familiarity of her uniform is neither good nor bad; it's her lifestyle...At least, before her meeting with Kiri. It's a sobering thought, but she emerges from behind the stand with a certain air of solemnity.

Brushing out the wrinkles and creases, her eyes finally fall on the lonely little pig plushie sitting on the bed. She moves silently, picks it up gingerly, and studies it quietly for a moment. Kiri was never an aesthetic designer to begin with and the plushie is more deformed than the desired cute look. Of course it's grown on Elraine, and for all its mishapped figure, she adores it.

"...I-I think this will be harder than I expected," she says quietly, head bowed and plushie pressed to her chest.

As promised, she takes her time gathering a box and a few bags, figuring that'll help they carry whatever's needed to be moved for now. She's worrying about Elraine. She worries about everyone here on a fairly regular basis, but her Ellie has always been towards the top of the list. She's certainly there now, back after weeks of getting to go on with her life. She couldn't imagine the pain of returning to Ruby City without Janice, if they somehow left, and she knows Kiri is so much more to Elraine than that.

The sight when she walks back into the bedroom, coupled with this quiet, pained words, break Christine's heart. Moving forward to put the box and bags on the table, she moves one gloved hand to Elraine's back, rubbing it gently.

The soothing gesture gets something of a smile, but the way her eyebrows knit together makes the look somewhat frustrated. "It's silly, isn't it? I used to do so much on my own. Traveling, staying at inns, all things Sisters do...And it only took me a week after meeting him to figure out that I really need him." After soft chuckle, Elle turns the pig plushie over in her hands and runs a finger over the fine stitch lines.

"Literally and figuratively..." She takes a short pause, feeling her eyes beginning to water. "I feel a bit lost now."
