The preparation has been made - the barrier protecting his fortress was doubled in strength, the room that now officialy became his meeting room has cleaned, and the two Iron Knuckle guards at the door were waiting in a defensive pose - they would allow Rufus in, but no one else. As for the ones guarding Ganondorf's secure rooms... the man would have little luck going past them.
The chance that their captors would listen in is practically impossible, if their magic's strength is as Ganondorf predicts, and his and Rufus' discussion would go uninterrupted. Now, the king is waiting. Perhaps today he'd earn a minion.
