At the knock, Toge began barking and trotting towards the door. Goro had rushed to the grocery store closest to her apartment, found some cake and strawberries and had been putting them into the fridge when Ada arrived.

"I'll be right there!" Closing the fridge door, she walked to the front door. Scooping Toge into her non-dominate arm, Goro opened the door and smiled at Ada. "Hey, Ada! Come in, come in!"

Her home, like her bedroom, was pretty sparse. Basic furniture and appliances, but in the far corner of the room was a makeshift art studio. Canvas, an easel, a brush set and a few tubes of acrylic paint, spread out and resting on a drop cloth.

"Ah, miss Goro! Thank you... I was worried I was in the wrong place for a moment." Ada smiled, giggling a little as she walked into the small apartment. "I'm glad that I was wrong otherwise."

Scanning the abode with soft green eyes, they rested on the small art studio near the back as she approached the canvas curiously. "Ah... were you working on a painting, miss Goro?"

"So am I." Goro answered, looking towards the canvas as Ada asked about it. "Hm? Nope, I've just got it set up in case I feel like working on something. It's easier instead of having to take it out." There was a paint tray with a few splotches of paint on it, and a sketchbook flipped open to a blank page.

"How do you like your tea?" she asked with a smile.

"Ah... that makes sense." Ada nodded, taking the paintbrush in her hand and drawing an imaginary picture with it. "Would it be okay if I asked what sort of things you paint or draw in your free time?"

"Just with lemon and honey, please."

"Still life and abstract, mostly. Sometimes portraits."

Nodding, Goro headed to the kitchen, picked up the tea kettle and filled it with water. "Sometimes I paint dreams, but those are kinda harder to do since I can't remember them that well."

"Ooooh..." Ada looked at the canvas and at Goro in interest. "Maybe you can paint a portrait of me sometime...?"

"Dreams can be amazing sometimes, especially if you can remember them." Ada agreed. "Though with me, it's the same -- I usually forget the nicer dreams as soon as I wake up."

"Sure!" Once the kettle was filled, Goro placed it onto the stove's eye and turned on the burner.

"Isn't that just popula sad?" Goro asked. "It's like 'Oh that was a nice dream but I can't remember why it was nice!'"

"Yeah... it'd really be nice if you could remember those kinds of dreams more. Sometimes they can cheer others up too if they've been having a bad day."

Nodding in agreement, Goro located a box of tea and two cups. "Yeah.. I think paintings can do the same thing, though! Not all of them, like that one where the guy's screaming, but others can!"

"Yes... I've always found that one to be more strange, if anything." Ada sighed, peering back into the kitchen and following Goro. "Do you need any help with anything, miss Goro?"

"Yeah- here-" Opening the fridge and taking out the two slices of cake (which were packaged individually), Goro held them out. "Put those onto the table for me? I'll make the tea and then bring the strawberries over."

"Sure..." Ada took the small packages of cake, looking curiously at the boxes in awe. "I didn't know you could package cake slices now... mostly I'm just used to buying whole cakes."

"Oh? There are a few bakeries who let you buy slices." The kettle began to whistle, and after preparing the cups, Goro filled them with boiling water. "Can you eat an entire cake?" she asked, looking surprised.

"No, of course not! It's just that the stores back in my home world never thought of this idea." Ada admitted, glancing at the boxes curiously. "It's quite good, too -- especially since you don't have to worry about tossing out any leftover cake."

Her response was so swift that Goro laughed. "Right! You can eat a little and then keep working at it until it's gone." Checking on the tea, Goro removed the used tea bags and threw them away. "Okay- Tea's ready.." Carefully picking up both cups, she made her way to the table.

"Exactly!" Ada couldn't help but giggle along with Goro as she sat down at the table, placing a slice of cake at Goro's spot. "Ah... that's good. I could use a little tea about now."
