Especially when one could do so blindfolded. Heck, he probably did at some point or another. Yet he's being patient, musing to himself until... "Sure he didn't get lost?"
Already teasing someone? Check.

He followed the tracks to the edge of the park where they had all agreed to meet, and grinned at the two kids with a wave of his hand.
"Hey, Sora. This your friend?" he asked jovially.
Reply
"Hey, Flynn!" He raised his arm in a wave as well. "Yeah! This is Riku, my best friend from home. Riku, this is Flynn Rider." But the older boy probably got that already.
"What's in the bag?" Oddly enough healing was at least one thing the boys wouldn't have to worry about. Just don't freak out okay?

"Nice to meet you." The older teen managed a faint smirk, but otherwise keeping to himself. He too was silently curious about what was being held in the bag. Ah, the wonders of hammer space and magic...

"Well? Did you guys come armed?"
Reply
"Yup!" Sora holds out his hand and in a small burst of light and a second later, his keyblade appears.

"Show-off." he muttered, laughing quietly to himself for a moment before summoning his own in a flash of the strange energy he always held inside him - not quite light, and not quite dark - and resting the strange wing-like blade on his shoulder. "Well? Are we ready?"

Keys?
These two kids.
Were holding giant ornate keys in their hands.
Flynn stared for a moment, wondering if the two of them were actually serious. First magic golden hair, then frying pans, and now keys? How many household accessories would he see used as outlandish weapons in his life? Were they going to bludgeon the monsters to death? Sure, that was pretty effective, but compared to the sharpened blade of a sword...?
"...Well. That's different," he commented blandly.

"Don't worry, we know what we're doing." He turned towards the park and took a few steps into the forest. "Come on!"

Then they'd be suspicious.
So congratulations, Flynn. You passed. Because they are dead serious and knew how to use them to 'put the pointy end in the bad guys' rather well. ...and speak for your own, Sora. His could stab someone's eye out if angled properly.
"Somewhat, anyway." Was that a joke? Who knew, but he definitely began to follow his friend. Come on, Mr. Thief.

It didn't seem to different from any other forest, except maybe a bit eerie and foggy. It wasn't a sunny or placid seeming place like that ones he'd been used to either...

He looked around as they went, trying to keep an ear out for any monsters lurking in the forest.
"When do you think we'll run into something?" Figures Sora would be the first one to break the silence.
