Summary: Broken glass and bare feet are not good combinations. At least this gives Riku and Sora some time to catch up on lost time, one more so than the other.

Sora? Bad luck? ...That doesn't even compute in Riku's brain, but he had warned his friend not to go in there barefoot. To see his shoes next to the bed as he passed Sora's room was one alarm bell. Yet another was the actual yelp coming from the bathroom. He raised an eyebrow, but found himself sighing as he walked to the bathroom door. He'd worried about someone not listening to the warning in curiosity, but he didn't really think to explain why. His mistake on that part.

So to see Sora sitting down on the floor and... was that blood he could see?

"...Sora?" Thank light for him learning to see well in the dark, at least. "What are you doing down there?"

Yeah the words didn't really work together, but it's not to say he didn't have the occasional accident. He looked up as Riku walked in and for all the world looked a little like a puppy who'd been kicked.

"What do you think I'm doing down here?" Yeah he was a little snippy. But between his foot, his hand, and his head, he wasn't exactly the most comfortable of friends.

Sora sighed as he placed his good foot down on the floor and tried to push up between that and his good hand in an attempt to get back into a standing position.

Sora always had pulled off the kicked puppy look too well, even when he'd said something about there being a reason not to go somewhere without shoes on. That's probably why he only shook his head at the tone, offering a hand up so he couldn't possibly get glass in the other.

He doesn't like seeing his friends get hurt because of his stupidity, even indirectly, okay?

"Let me look at them when we get out of here, alright?" Because after so long, he is good at seeing even the faintest glimmer of something that does not belong. Okay, and he had to pick out pieces of glass from his fist before Aqua healed it. But details~

Sora blinked as the hand was offered in the dark. He reached up and grasped it letting Riku help him back to his feel. He balanced on one foot determined to not put his bad foot down and drive the glass in deeper. Of course this made it a little difficult to get out of the bathroom in the first place.

"Yeah, okay." He frowned a bit. "Uh..." Really how was he supposed to get out of here? He may have been able to jump out to the safety of carpeted floor but not with Riku standing there.

It would always be more difficult when it came to pointy objects stuck in the skin. He thought he'd gotten most of it, at least. Leave it to Sora to make him realize he missed a few pieces. Yet at that hesitation, he merely moves out of the way for a hopping best friend. Besides, he had to find the tweezers in the first place.

Which just so happened to be under his bed in the first aid kit. ...What? He moved it after shattering that mirror.

Sora bent his leg and balanced as best he could. A next moment later he was safely on the carpet and windmilling his arms to keep from falling again.

"Whoa!" Nope there he goes. May have a Sora back on the floor in a half a second.

...Welp. Riku tried to get there in time. Really, he did. But Sora faceplanting on his bedroom floor? Yeah, he couldn't help but facepalm so hard Terra more than likely heard it from the other side of the floor. The good news? He found the tweezers!

"...You okay, there?" At least he isn't laughing.

Thanks for the assistance Riku. Sora looked up from he new spot on the floor and scowled up at his best friend. "Thanks, Riku." Not that it was really his fault, and he really couldn't stay mad at him for long anyway.

He pushes off and winces, having forgotten about his hand. "Yeah I'm okay."

Can't blame a guy for trying, at least he has a few things to get the glass out? Riku shrugged, sitting down next to his friend and holding a hand out. Let him see the hand, first.

"Good," he muttered, looking his friend over to make sure that the hand and foot were the only places with small shards of glass embedded in them. "Thought I warned you about going in there barefoot..."

Sora sighed and handed his hand over to Riku. This was just embarrassing.

"Yeah, but I didn't think there was broken glass in there!" He pouted a bit and winced as the glass was removed from his hand. "Why was that mirror broken anyway?" Mirror's didn't just break after all.
