weekends working are intense, especially the "both days start at 830 in yonkers" version of that. it's good money, but i forget how tired it makes me, and how unable to partake in weekend events. enjoying being at home now; braising brussels sprouts in cream and having a beer.
our backyard is finally free of old rusted bikes. today i started tackling the pile of old boards. oy. the question is, once that's done, what's feasible to grow? with the amount of shade we've got, i think shade-loving ground cover is probably a better bet than tomatoes. alas. any recommendations for things to plant that are pretty and easy and green and don't mind shade? bonus points for anything with flowers, or edible.
i am going to columbia, for sure: put down the deposit and everything. i got kind of an amazing scholarship, so i am not even going to be in debt when i graduate. i am somewhat stunned, definitely excited, somewhat apprehensive. ivy ivy ivy.
i am trying to figure out summer plans. there is some europe in there (primarily france with the family, but as long as i'm going...), and i'd like ida at some non-palooza point, and i am vaguely considering the social forum. i need to figure this out.
now my paramour has arrived at my doorstep: off i go. more later, i'd guess.
