Sheer exhaustion...
I just don't have the heart at the moment to post all the details about the fun business trip to Atlanta with Margo. I will rattle off a few things for my memory's sake and then make a feeble attempt to remember all the humorous "priceless" commercials I made in my head since returning home last night at 2am from work.
in no particular order:
damn laptop at the airport, almost missing plane... but we were there early!, talking waaay too much, very smelly taxi, Tedd blah blah blah, Hotel Indigo, Canine cocktails, GREAT dinner at Eno-- raw oysters and mucho wine, u-turn on a one way street, centennial park and running in the fountains, sangria, Margo's 'drowning' music, crutches boy and the marathon at the window, HEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHHEHEHE everything, the crazy fancy alarm clock with the ocean & birds, desk guy really likes me, "PHitness room" and guy from Netherlands, extra desk chair but only one internet plug, umm...missing the most important part of coffee machine, so much for getting up and working out, "let's see the old buildings and the gov't ones"-- dork!, BOA hats and Margo 'accidentally' swapping MY large for her x-large shirt, visiting every terminal at the Atlanta airport, he's kinda a scary driver, discussion of Mary Kay and hand creme with Mr. Pretty (yes, that is serioushly his name), lotsa food, fax to home base-- my new position as 'treasury analyst' oh boy!, "I hope he's not one of those 'micro-managers'"-- Tedd to me after we try to cover up why we were faxing our agenda to Akron, plane ride home was nice cause i almost got a nap, gosh aren't we lucky to start another round of work after an incredibly busy and draining day IN ANOTHER STATE...
onto a few "priceless" ads b4 my face hits this keyboard (and likely, I and maybe Margo will only find these funny)
Cab ride for 4 people from airport... $$prolly buku bucks charged to other people's department budget
Swanky hotel room in Midtown Atlanta... $164 per night
Listening to Tedd joke that Jaquie set the two of them up with adjoining rooms... PRICELESS
Back in Akron, the Wed. LATE nighter:
Pizza from Luigi's driven to us by Margo's husband... don't know but she needs to expense it
Pop from the vending machine... $1
Envisioning a pinata in the shape of my boss's head hanging at our department picnic pavilion... PRICELESS
So I have an additional new project and a countdown-- T-Minus 30 days until my "underground" dept. picnic festivities... codename Hole-in-one
