So I'm listening to
the Thomas Jefferson Hour again and they're mentioning Jefferson's adherance to Scottish Enlightenment philosophy. And that sounds familiar. But I can't remember if we covered in my history of rhetorical theory classes the effect on rhetorical theory by the Scottish Enlightenment philosophers.
Okay, so I skimmed the
wikipedia entry on the Scottish Enlightenment, and I'm totally recognizing names. But I really wish I had my notebooks in front of me. Also, why didn't things click earlier?! I'd be golden in academia right now if I'd had my Aha! Moment sooner.
Balls, balls, balls. Carry on.
