Four Down, One to Go

Okay, saw Atonement.  It was good.  So not gonna win Picture, though.  Even with dreamy James McAvoy.

Not sure when I'll get reliable internets so here're my predictions for the Oscars:

Picture:  No Country For Old Men (maybe a Juno upset.  Maybe a There Will Be Blood upset, but less likely.)

Actor:  Daniel Day-Lewis

Actress:  Julie Christie (maybe an Ellen Page upset. )

Supporting Actor:  Javier Bardem (a Hal Holbrook upset looks less likely as the awards near)

Supporting Actress:  Cate Blanchett (it may go to Tilda Swinton.  If Hal Holbrook gets supporting actor, i can see this going to Ruby Dee)

Director:  the Coens

Documentary Feature:  No End in Sight

Documentary Short:  no idea

Animated Feature:  Ratatouille

Foreign Language:  gonna go with The Counterfeiters because Entertainment Weekly says so

Cinematography:  There Will Be Blood (probably No Country...)

Original Screenplay:  Diablo Cody for Juno

Adapted Screenplay:  Coens for No Country

Visual Effects:  Pirates of the Caribbean...

Animated Short, Live Action Short:  dunno

Art Direction:  Sweeney Todd

Costume Design:  Sweeney Todd or Elizabeth:  the Golden Age

Editing:  No Country

Sound Mixing and Editing:  no idea

Original Score:  Atonement  (maybe 3:10 to Yuma)

Original Song:  "Falling Slowly" from Once (if the three from Enchanted cancel each other out.)

Makeup:  La Vie en Rose (if Norbit wins I will go on a rampage.)
