It's the Little Things

Much of my time at work is spent transferring marks.  This means that an engineer marks up a set of drawings and I copy the marks onto other sets of drawings and then send them away.

Often while I'm in the marks-transferring zone, a phrase from The Royal Tenenbaums goes through my head:

"All right, Dudley.  Make yours look like mine."

Make yours look like mine.

Make yours look like mine.

I take a perverse pleasure in making mine look a little different.  Not so different that a building will fall or a piece of rebar will be missed, but, you know, bigger writing, neater writing, different sized circles and clouds.

Wow.  I really need to reevaluate.  Sigh.
