It being Father's Day, I went to church for the first time since around Christmas with my family. Oh my.
To start things off, the choir was all men (y'know, for Father's Day). They did an okay job, but the mics on the tenors were way too hot. Also, they sang a gospel song. Bad idea.
Then the priest turned out to be NOT Father Ed, the parish priest. It was a visiting priest. Which, ordinarilly I wouldn't mind but the last time I went to a Mass celebrated by this guy I got super cheesed off. The ONLY time I've ever heard a priest say something about a hot-button issue was said by this man in a not very pleasant way. Luckily he didn't piss me off this time.
He did, however, draaaaaag the Mass on for an hour and a half. It was so slow that my mom was making snide comments under her breath. Usually she just reprimands me for doing that.
Ugh.
But then my sister and I went to Starbucks to visit a friend. That was nice.
And THEN...she gave me a driving lesson. In a manual. That's what it's called when the vehicle has a gear shift, yeah? I did a kind of okay job.
I wish I'd been able to eat with people.
