I am invincible
So 8 years after my last appointment, I went to the dentist yesterday... and survived! No cavities, but I need to start flossing. Plus, I have two wisdom teeth in and the only reason I would need them taken out is to make cleaning easier. Hah! I also now have spaces in between a few teeth that haven't been there in a while. That's a little gross to think about, but at least that plaque is gone now.
I definitely picked the right dentist. The office looks a little run down, but I don't expect much in this area. Everyone in the office was so nice! His assistant(who taught me how to floss) told me that I was a very good patient and that I did not look as old as 23. It's interesting how one good experience after years of dreading the dentist can make me okay (even enthusiastic) about a check up and cleaning. I would definitely recommend this guy to others (as well as go back for regular visits).
I talked to Fugar last night for a while. It turns out my cousins live two blocks away from where the riots are happening in Oaxaca and that Anita's boyfriend is the governor's pilot. Needless to say, my grandmother hasn't heard anything from them in a few months.
