Activision and Blizzard

YEA I'M NERD RAGING

A while ago Activision paired up with Blizzard Entertainment and I have to wonder about Activision and their leadership. There was a Boycot for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 because an interview came out with the head of the company talking trash about gamers and how he pretty much steals all our money which sparked a bit of chaos in a good chunk of people(This includes good ol' Dossy Panties). On top of that they raised the price of the PC version ten dollars and took out good online play along with most the customization in mouse sensitivity etc. Now the reason I'm a bit steamed about the company isn't so much that particular interview but the fact that ever since Activision took over Blizzard they have begun to massively charge extra for things that shouldn't cost us anything. For free to play games online like Atlantica and Gunbound I am willing to put down some cash on in game items to help support a game that makes no profit otherwise. This stuff with World of Warcraft is getting rediculous and I am hoping people will get sick of it eventually.

So we pay :
  • $15 Monthly for an active account (which is supposed to include everything)

ADD ONS (in game)
  • $10 for in game pets (<===wtf)
  • $25 Character server transfer (which takes about 10 minutes and no effort from the company)
  • $30 Faction Transfer (the game only costs $20 to purchase)
  • $10 Name Change
  • $15 Name Change and Character Sex Change/Look Change
So ridiculous. NCPlay (Aion, Guild Wars, CoH/CoV, etc) charges $15 a month and only like $1 for each extra game so you dont have to pay a million monthly fees to play their games. They'll probably try to charge us to play Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 as well when they come out, even though we'll be hosting the servers ourselves and it will probably be an extra $15 a month for each. They created in game achievements probably to encourage people to buy the pets through them and suck. -_-
