i guess i've never really been into the whole snowboard, ski thing cos i'm probably not that coordinated and the one first time in the steep french alps was kinda scary, so... sledding is probably the sport of choice (for dummies) in winter. yup, absolutely no training needed. lol.
for me i guess what's more fun is getting into a nice warm house with a fireplace after that. one of our friends bought this amazing rambler (a single-storey, er, rambling house?) with a row of glass doors along one side, with a brick fireplace that opened into the kitchen as well as the living room. the whole look was very 70s, horizontal lines, low-slung.
and my first experience with driving to work in the snow wasn't great either... the roads were not ploughed, i gamely (and foolishly) thought i'd try and make it into the office since i got a meeting going. after one and a (fucking) half hours later - it usually takes 40 minutes - since i had to drive at 30 to 40 miles per hour amongst trucks and cars on a snow-covered road with snow still pelting down, i finally got there. and was amongst one of two persons who actually bothered to get into the office for my meeting. bleah. never again. i'm staying home next time.
