I was sort of surprised (only briefly) at the hate Tim Tebow gets. They hate him because ESPN worships at his alter along w/ LeBron James, Tom Brady, and Tiger Woods. They hate him because of his overt Christianity or just hate him simply because he beats the hell out of the teams they like.
Either way, I understand. I understand why they don't like him.
But I bleed orange and blue and to me, he's freakin' amazing. The kid is down to earth, mellow, a bit of a bible thumper but I prefer that to him holding up stores like the Tennessee players, and fights and fights hard, 110% at all times. He's not just a Florida player, Tim Tebow is a Florida fan as well. And that's why I understood why he cried today on senior day or why the stands lit up like a switchboard in the White House during the Cuban Missile Crises.
We're with him. We're all with him. Well, all of us Florida fans anyway. *smile*
It also doesn't help he is fine as hell goes over seas to teach children how to read, give vaccinations, and do prison ministry. I don't see Tony Dungy getting the mad hate and he's as religious as anyone in football. *shrug* But as I've been saying all year, quietly to myself before every Florida game:
The Tim Tebow is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
And random aside: 6 years in a row and all is right in the world. /smile.
Good night and Goodluck.
