Off to India
I'm leaving for the airport in one hour. Yikes! I should probably be getting my stuff together instead of updating myspace and livejournal, huh?
I feel completely unprepared for this trip. These past two weeks have been so crazy that going to India has been the last thing on my mind. I am definitely ready to be gone for a few weeks though. It's always nice to escape the office drama, personal drama, and New Jersey. Hyderabad probably won't be the glamorous getaway Cartagena usually is but at least I will have some time away to refocus and gain some perspective. I'm counting on India to give me some kind of inspiration and remind me of why I do what I do. Morale is at an all time low in my office right now. Some shady things have been happening and I've seriously been considering a career in ice cream scooping at Haagan Das instead. Actually, I'd really love to work at the help desk at Barnes and Noble.
Anyway, along with all the office issues, I'm also really bummed about missing the premiere of cycle 9 on America's Next Top Model tonight. What was I thinking when I booked my flights? There goes another Saturday lost to watching the entire season when it comes on MTV as an all day marathon! I always miss the good tv when I travel. I'm either missing September season premieres or April season finales. A small sacrifice, I guess.
Well, I should pack up my lap top and call Scotty's Taxi. The next time you all here from me, I will be in Delhi!!
