(no subject)
So today, after we got back from doing some family stuff out, I needed to use my compound miter saw to cut some parts for a fursuit Im working on. Its a nice little tool, not the high end kind by any means, but still does the job well for angled cuts and such.
Well the last place it was left was on the workbench out back where we usually work on project stuff like that. Except today it wasnt there. So I search the garage, the tool shed, the back yard... basically the whole house to try to find it. Nothing. I call my dad and ask him if he moved it. He hadnt seen it and we looked again. No luck.
Ultimately we've realized it was stolen. Right from the back yard.
In addition to that, while I was sewing fur today on my sewing machine (Which is old and was having trouble anyway), it jammed. Then there was a loud crack and spark from the motor side and it went quiet.
Apparently I broke the motor and the drive assembly, which means no sewing machine. Back to hand sewing. Which is tedious long work, when you have people waiting on suits and plushies.
So in all, Im out about $450 in tools. x.x Crazy day.
