After receiving a handful of things for Christmas (a couple of DVDs and a massage thingy that I should probably be using right now);
After receiving officially one (1) thing for my birthday;
After ordering things to feel better about the gifting time of the year;
I get a few things today.
1) One bluetooth Wireless Intellipoint Explorer for Bluetooth For Windows XP for my Windows 2000 minibox (my fault for not reading the fine print and finding my mouse uninstallable upon arrival);
2) One BESM d20 book from Amazon (this is good);
3) One Drum Kits book from Amazon in the same package (this is not good; it was a Drum Kits book masquerading as a Thunderstorm Nature CD; by the way, someone in Virginia is really pissed that they were given a late present for Christmas and didn't get it right now).
So, time to go to Amazon. And get a return code. Fine enough, right? They'll pay postage.
One problem: My printer, which as far as I know hadn't been used in 2 months, is out of ink.
So.
It's time to go to CompUSA to get a replacement temporary mouse and printer cartidges. At the same time I can get a calendar and card for a grandparent who seems to be pissed off at me. Sounds good.
CompUSA is no problem (although the black cartridge is $8 and the color is $20 - huh?). But there are no Santa Barbara calendars to be had for love or money. Only the most ubiquitous thing known to mankind, or at least in this area. Whole stores overflowing with Santa Barbara calendars.
Nope.
Okay. I go home. To print.
To get to the printer, which was buried under all the Christmas boxes.
And...
My "You double-clicked, sir?" mouse double-clicks. The one I'm trying to replace. And closes the Amazon page I needed to print.
So I have to type it all in - again.
Then I forget to include the packing slip in the return box, the first time.
HELP!
Edit: I should note: I'm not being needy! Really! I wasn't expecting much out of the holidays, and I didn't need much from the holidays except sleep, which I got. Just this keeps being a rolling disaster.
