If you're wondering, he's a technomage, I think. Might as well borrow from B5 too.

This is a random question, and I have a feeling it's directed lilairen's (or maybe Trevor's, although you don't know kanji, right?) way, although the floor is open.

I'm mentally working on describing/characterizing Cube the Spastic Extremely Hard To Pin Down Otter, and I realize that what I am trying to describe is a set of streaming symbologies encompassing several different levels of symbolism at once. Musically, it's very easy to pick out what Cube has on his equivalent of an iPod. Equally, I can generally get a fairly good idea as to how to describe him from each various song. But in addition to that, I want to use something of a runic set as well so I have a flowing (rotating) set of descriptions that are both musical, descriptive, and symbolic.

The problem is that I can't figure out a symbolic set to use per se. I feel a bit gauche using Vikingesque runes and interpretations to run this sort of thing. I wasn't planning on using Major Arcana per se, although that might come into consideration if I can't figure anything else; but I'm trying to think whether there are any particularly good other runic sets (or kanji sets, if they're Japanese, say) that I could use to run interpretations with. My knowledge unfortunately is somewhat limited in this arena, and I don't want to commit myself down one method of doing this without thinking of alternatives. Maybe gemstones...

I am happy, of course, that I'm playing with symbolism instead of stewing in general angst. Aren't you? (And as an added bonus, I got to activate my Linkometer to use Castrovalva appropriately in a conversation. I think that's a Double-Symbol Score. Of course, that still leaves me way behind, but hey, small victories, eh?)

Yay, Symantec recursion! Wait a second... Symantec doesn't own recursion. And I don't want them running updates on it daily either.
