When you see the military start to seriously talk about weather control again, you'd better start perking up. Because it's just like humanity to think of inconveniences to humanity as something to quash instead of adapt to.
Sony's CDs, they only play on Windows, they only play with Sony's player, and
they install hidden software on your computer without your approval. Oh, and said software seems to actually take a chunk of processing out of your computer continuously, regardless of whether the CD is in or not. Honestly, with the kinds of crap things I'm seeing and hearing from Sony lately, I'm very concerned about the
next wave of video game systems, TVs, computers, and all the DRM nightmares that are just about to unfold. Wait and watch. I'd love to say it'll fall apart, but I'm more than betting it won't.
