Hrmm... doesn't have the same ring as Carmen Sandiego.
Yes, I'm fine. Ft. Walton Beach got a little wind, a little rain, and a lot of waves along the shoreline. The road between Ft. Walton Beach and Destis has been washed away for the third time in a year now. No idea when they plan to get it fixed again yet, but the bigger problem is if they have another storm come this way within the next month.
Meanwhile, the aftermath of Katrina is turning into being just as bad as the original storm. New Orleans is slowly becoming Lake Orleans as I type this. There was a break in the levee system, and now the worst is becoming reality. Maybe they didn't get the expected storm surge, but the flooding is happening now and will likely stay in place for days, if not weeks.
On the third hand, I've still got this feeling that the Florida Panhandle hasn't seen the last storm of the season. Dennis I was fairly accurate on, Katrina went further west of my area to become the 'perfect hurricane' but I still think there's one more out there waiting to form with our location punched as it's destination.

Enough for now...
