So I started classes today. First I had Sociology from 2:10 to 3:30. It was ok. The teacher seems good. Like one of those teachers that is passionate about the subject, but laid back enough to not get carried away. We basically just did a little introduction thing and went through the syllabus. After class I had a whole hour to do nothing so I sat in the library and read. I guess I'll have to get used to it, although I've been meaning to put some time aside for reading anyways so that may be more of a blessing than a hindrance. Next was English from 4:30 to 5:50. The teacher at first seemed like every other annoying high school english teacher, and in some ways she was. But it wasn't bad for a first day. She had us write a short essay (just a page long) with the topic of "My Best Vacation." It was just to see how well each of us could write. I think I tried a little too hard to make a first impression though, I hope she doesn't get discouraged if I don't write at quite that caliber in the future. Whatever.
After that I went through a big mess return the books I had previously bought in order to buy them, and a few others, all over again (It's was a long and annoying process). But soon my annoyance turned into happiness. The sandwich I got from Subway tasted especially good today. I think I'll have to start eating something between classes.
I got home around 6:45, yeah I know what you're thinking... "Wow, Phil sleeps in the morning and has classes in the afternoon, and sits at his computer at night, he has no life." And you're absolutely right, but at least if I want to try being social every once in a while I have no classes Friday-Sunday. Wee.
