So I was gone for a while. This time I promise I'll try to be frank...
-I went on vacation with my mother and my sister, my dad could not come on account of work.
-First we went to Covenant College in Chattanooga, Tennessee for a week-long Christian Conference. I've been going my whole life. This year was the 25th year at Covenant and the last year at Covenant. I'm not sure where it will be held next year, so I don't know if we will be going. All I know is that I'm going to miss that place...
-While at the Conference I played a lot of Chess and a lot of Ping Pong. I've always been pretty good at chess (though this year I didn't win the tournament), but I'd say my Ping Pong skills are increasing dramatically. My Asian playing style did well to baffle a few opponents but I was severely outmatched by many of the competitors. I wish we could have a table at our house. It would seem fitting since my mother was a 2-time Ping Pong State Champion for North Carolina, and my dad can beat her most of the time (she's a little rusty now, though she can still take me down a peg). Unfortunately, there simply isn't anywhere to put a Ping Pong table in our house unless we decided to get rid of the dinner table... I probably would mind.
-After the conference we went to my Aunt's (on my mother's side) house. She, my uncle, and their two children (my cousins obviously), were at the conference with us. My grandmother (mother's side again) was also there and lives just down the road from them. They live about 8-9 hours (by car) from the Conference.
-We stayed two nights in their house in North Augusta, South Carolina and then my grandmother, mother, sister, and myself all rode to Myrtle Beach.
-The trip was about 4 hours. Now I'm going to be less specific...
-We stayed there in an apartment just a roads crossing away from the beach for about 1 1/2 weeks.
-We went to the beach everyday.
-We went shopping a few times and out to eat several times.
-While shopping one day I was in an Electronics Boutique looking through the old Playstation 1 games and I came across 2 gems. Metal Gear Solid 1 and Final Fantasy: Chronicles. MGS1 is one my favorite video games and I had lost my previous copy. This copy was only $6 so I snatched it up immediately. FF:C is a 2-game package that includes remastered versions of 2 classic games: Final Fantasy IV (originally released as II in the US) and Crono Trigger. I'm currently playing through both Crono Trigger and MGS :)
-I also bought the R.O.D. movie DVD. huzzah for anime.
-Earler today (It's actually Friday now but I'll speak/type as though it is Thursday) me, my mom, and my sister boarded a flight from Myrtle Beach to Detroit. Then flight went well and was rather quick.
-After that I came home and reunited with my computer and the wonderful intarweb.
So that's all for right now. I'm gonna go watch R.O.D.
Peace.
P.S. To Skinner: I bought Cult by Apocalyptica. Great stuff. :) My favorite tracks are "Hope" and "Romance"
P.S.S. I've been craving Kyoto Kyoto for weeks...
