So Saturday was interesting. A lot of stuff happened but I'll spare you most of the details and just bullet the important things.
-First I went to my friend Laura's grad party. It pretty fun, but unfortunately the chicken tasted somewhat odd.
-Then I went to Skinner's party. It was pretty much over when I got there so I was stuck standing around chomping on carrots while wandering aimlessly through Andrew's back yard amidst his lingering family and friends, most of which I had little to no interest in becoming acquainted with (no offense Skinner).
-Eventually Skinner, Wendl, their friend Justin, and I left for Megan Lambert's part but not before us and some of Skinner's family were treated to viewing the "What is Love" music video.
-Megan's party was good. Hers happened to be the first grad party I personally have attended in many years not to feature fried chicken as the main entree; she had tacos. There was also a cart full of iced cream which I indulged in quite a few times. We played one of my favorite lawn sports, bocce ball for about an hour and later enjoyed a game involving two tennis balls tied together that was somewhat like ring toss. It was quite enjoyable as the team of Steve and myself were undefeated in the backbreaking 2 games we played.
-After Megan's party was winding down (or so it seemed at the time), I was quite hungry having not enjoyed the food at Laura's party, and not wanting to eat tacos. I began nagging my good friend Adam to take me to Kentucky Fried Chicken to use the coupon he had given to me as a graduation present.
-Instead of KFC, we traveled to another graduation party. This time it was Laura Wolocko's party and this time there was good, tasty fried chicken (of which I nearly consumed an amount equal to several whole chickens). There was also a large inflated bouncing toy in her back yard. Adam, Skinner, Justin, Justin, and I all enjoyed bouncing in it for a while but I soon became weary of its repetitive splendor. Also, I had felt strange lingering at Laura's house on account of her graduation party having for the most part ended as we arrived so we were the only guests still outside or even at the party.
-After leaving we ventured to yet another graduation party. This time it was Nathan St. Antoine's. Already there was Nathan and a few of his friends including Billy "The Man" Kohlstrand II.
-We stayed there for a good while and enjoyed playing pool and darts. However I had told my dearest mother that I would be home by midnight and the time was winding down.
-While riding home with Adam we stopped by Megan's house again. The torches from her party were still lit as a few oddballs, most likely drunk off their ***es, had remained sitting out in the street. We only stayed there for about 10 min. though since I kept nagging Adam that I needed to return home as it was already past 12 o'clock.
-Adam however, did not wish to take me home and now I'll treat you with a small dialogue that he and I engaged in:
Me: “Okay now I gotta get home."
Adam: "Hey let's go mess with Steve."
Me: "What? ...Where does he live?"
Adam: "Like 6 houses down that way."(points)
Phil:(pauses) "...ok let's go."
-So went ventured down the street to Steve's house and quietly creeped up behind his house to his rear facing bedroom window. His bed-sheet curtains were mostly drawn so it was difficult peering into his bedroom but we eventually concurred that he was in the bathroom. After making liquid waste in his backyard flower garden we rested on a large plastic swing behind his house. We pondered what our next move would be and suddenly the idea came to us. We decided to move the swing to his front yard. We did so and set it down in the grass and went back to his bedroom window. Soon Steve returned to his room and all was going according to the plan we had never conceived. We began to draw Steve to his window with animal noises. From inside his room there was some shuffling and eventually a few murmured words to the tune of "What the heck?" and "It's probably Adam." To this we both had a good laugh hiding behind bushes but soon Steve proclaimed aloud his coming outside to greet his pranksters. We immediately fled, jumping over his fence and sprinting down the street to our ingenious behind-a-tree hiding strategy. We watched as Steve came out from his house and noted the swing in his yard. He also made his way down the street and stopped by Adam's car. He later told us that had he been carrying a car bomb at the time, he would have placed one the car. After a bit though, Steve went back inside and Adam and I traveled back to his bedroom window. We made our noises once again and greeted Steve at his window. We exchanged sarcastic notions and listened to the heaving anger pouring from Steve's thought as he breathed. He cooled off eventually we returned the swing to it's original position. Steve joined us outside and we talked for a few minutes (This conversation also proved that Adam knows too much about Steve with a comment about a certain chain of fast food restaurants that shall remain nameless). Then we left Steve's house, and Steve came along with us. We finally went to my house it now being past 1am. The other two wished to further stay out and about possibly getting some food but I confirmed to them that I would not be joining them. I went inside and closed the door and they began to drive off. Suddenly, my mind shifted and I wished to return to my friends and travel with them again but it was surely too late. My legs however, believed no such thing. I ran, no, I sprinted, no, I flew. My legs carried me faster than man should travel without aid of some automotive device. I gained on the car and outstretched my hand. Banging on the top of the car I slowed and so did they. I, now winded rested my arms on the top of the car with my head hanging down into the passenger window. I then in-between heavy breaths proclaimed my unsure thoughts about allowing my friends to abandon me while they traveled. I walked back to my home as they drove back around the block. When I arrived home again I had realized that my letting the screen door slam shut had awakened my parents and one of them had locked the door. I knocked lightly and my mother opened and let me in. I apologized for the noise and my lateness and explained my situation. She pondered for a moment and went to ask my father. I sat down on the couch and caught my breath. She returned and said that it was a general consensus among her and my father that I stay home on account of it being past midnight and I being a minor (by 4 days now less), and that I had to attend church the next morning. I sighed but agreed and delivered the message to my patiently waiting friends. We said our goodbyes and they drove off this time unfollowed (not a real word) and I returned to my home. I then went to my bed and watched television for a short while but soon fell asleep.
-So much for the notion of a brief summary.
That is all for this update, thank you for joining me. And thanks to those who actually read all of this.
