I'm alive, I swear.

That is the view from my Dorm window, the weather has been amazing, I'm not exactly looking forward to winter. My Dorm room is spartan(Ha!), but spacious. I've only had two real classes as yet: a Plato seminar on the first night, which was great, and then a seminar on the first six books of the Illiad last night, which was less productive. A few of the people in my seminar-proper(the Illiad seminar, the Plato one was a temporary group) really like to hear themselves speak. Others like to break the rules of seminar: interrupting others, referencing other works that nobody else has read, or parts of the book that come later, etc. Surprisingly enough, these groups overlap. I'm told by upperclassmen(my dorm is in the "Lowers," as opposed to the "Uppers" which is populated mostly by freshmen) that these things tend to work themselves out. There was a impromptu post-first-seminar party last night, and let me tell you, what they say about alcohol & altitude is not an exaggeration. I've been heroically drunk before(as most anyone reading this can probably attest), but I was stumbbly-drunk after two beers(the shot of vodka, and the wine was just icing.) My full load of classes start on monday(and Aikido starts on tuesday, which I'm excited about starting-up again). For now, I must eat dinner.

Oh yeah. So the bathrooms in the Great Hall have greek graffiti in the stalls, I just had to share that, I'll have to take a picture of it.
