Woke up this morning to a barrage of pointless phone calls at ungodly hours. Seriously, who calls before 9 am on a Sunday? D: Anyways, after yelling at Dad and talking to Joey for about an hour on and off we called up Richie and made plans for lunch and a movie. When time finally got around to it we went to Honey Tree [much yum] and then to AMC 30 where we proceeded to see HITMAN after an hour of excruciatingly painful ads, commercials and previews.
KUNG FU PANDA made me feel bad about our empty theater. There was no one there when he pointed to the lower left hand section of the room and yelled at someone to stop texting because he could see and hear it. I think he should be put on stronger medication and go back to his life at the zoo. :(
HITMAN, in and of itself, was all right. I loved the music and the fight scenes but it was a little hard to watch when there was a five minute long tit scene with the female lead. :( My brother loved that though! The best part, by far however, wasn't on screen. The rather large woman next to me kept jumping in her seat and gasping, hands on her face whenever blood spatter hit someone in the face or going "oh my!" whenever someone got punched in the face with a gun or another characters elbow. It was well worth the seven dollars, let me tell you.
My favorite part, by far, was the scene where Nika and 47 are driving and she's paging through his magazines.
"All of this is bullshit. Why do you even buy these magazines?"
"I buy them for the ads."
She stops at one page with a steel suitcase. "What would you ever need a suitcase like this for?"
"It perfectly fits my semiautomatic assault rifle."
