So here it is... the traditional, end-of-semester, what-I've-learned post. Skim or scroll as you wish.
The play is done. Now I can honestly say that I've written and directed my own show. There's definately a certain pride in that. For a first attempt, it was decent. Not spectacular by any means, which was what I was shooting for, but I can deal with decent for now. (Many thanks to Erka for all her hard work. Don't know how I could have done it without her. Also, many sincere thanks to Matt and all who came!) My two favorite professors came to the show and gave some good feedback. Both want to see another original work in the fall. We'll see. All my theatre buddies seem to be graduating though. I'm pretty sure Austin and I are the last of the mohicans as far as that is concerned. But, something must be done. I've felt intensely generic during my break from the stage.
