Today was the bestest day I've had in soooo long *squee* And yet it /easily/ could have been the worst fucker, but it wasn't, and I laugh in the face of my bad karma! *squees* I went to Monarto!!
Moz and I had just left my place to go when I left the steering wheel pulling to the left, a lot! I quickly jumped out the car to see that the passenger side tyre was totally and completely flat.. It seems I had run over a screw. Bloody bastard of a thing, luckily I was only just around the corner from my place, so Lex helped me change the tyre - which took some bloody time, because apparently my jack is totally crap. So another thing to add to the need-to-buy list, a jack. Anyway we got the car going, and off to Monarto we went..
Monarto is totally awesome, I now know where my money will be partially spent, if I ever win the lottery (which isn't likely, seeming as I never buy a ticket!) I took just one roll of film on photographing the giraffes, alone!! I love giraffes, they're my favourite wild animal. *sighs happily*
Then on the way home, I'm sitting on 100kmph and coming up to a railway crossing.. Now. Either the sign is missing, or I missed it completely, but I didn't see a sign to warn of a speed bump in the middle of the tracks. I had only just remembered about the speed bump on the way there, only it was too late, we'd just hit it as I'd said "wait a sec" - way late at that stage, just as we were launched into the air to come crashing back down again mere milliseconds later.
I screwed up the back speaker board (my sound system is my baby), so I went to go and fix that, it had got jammed and the wiring was all loose. I went to unjam the board but hitting it with my hand, only I skewered my palm on a screw that holds the speakers in place. Bah! Bloody screws!
Morry seems to think the funniest part of my car getting air is that I was more "wait a sec.." than I was "ohmifuckingshit", also I think that I was laughing before we hit bitumen again.. Better to die laughing though ;)
My car got air!! *beams*
