So I've got a bit of time to fill, and I dont' feel like doing anything constuctive. So let's start out with the most important question: What am I watching nowadays!?
Monday
Returning Shows: How I Met Your Mother, Prison Break, Heroes -- Even though I was worried about Prison Break, I've been enjoying all of these. :-)
Journeyman -- 10:00 on NBC -- The pilot was a little shaky, but with now seeing the second episode, I'm tempted to say that I love this show. They're touching on some often overlooked things involving time travel, and I have a lot of fun watching it and I'm excited to see where it goes next.
Chuck -- 8:00 on NBC -- This show tries to combine geeky comedy with super spy action. The comedy is done well- it's a funny show. But once the action starts, it kind of falls flat. I hope it get's better, but we'll see. For now, at least, it's definitely watchable.
Tuesday
Returning Shows: Bones, House -- Well, Bones is the same old Bones (apart from anything involving the Angela/Hodgins storyline, which I love, especially Jack's new haircut that makes him look even more incredibly cute!) so that's business as usual. I'm liking what they're doing with House. While I kind of miss Chase, I was never a fan of Cameron or Foreman, so seeing less of them is good in my book. I hope it stays this way.
Reaper -- 9:00 on CW -- I LOVE this show. It may be my favorite new show. It's so funny, and the whole "bounty hunter for the Devil" thing totally works in the comedic atmosphere. Plus, I think Brett Harrison might be a new TV boyfriend for me. ;)
Wednesday
Returning Shows -- ...None! Weird...
Pushing Daisies -- 8:00 on ABC -- This show is so different. In a good way. I mean, seriously, watch for two minutes and you will see that there is no show like this show. On paper, I love everything about it, but I'll admit, the pilot left me a little empty somehow. But I'm hopeful that it's gonna pick up, because there's all kinds of potential here.
Back to You -- 8:00 on FOX -- Okay, actually, I might stop watching this one. I thought because of Kelsey Grammer and the fact that it was set in a TV newsroom might make it funny, but... it's kind of not. I'll watch one more episode, then I give up.
Bionic Woman -- 9:00 on NBC -- I've only seen the first episode so far, but it seems pretty good. A little involved maybe, but I think it could work. I'm eager to see the next one.
Life -- 10:00 on NBC -- Yeah... I got half way through the pilot, then I just couldn't finish it. It was so badly written and the main guy was driving me nuts. Don't watch Life.
Thursday
Returning Shows: Survivor, Smallville, Supernatural, Scrubs, My Name is Earl, ER -- Survivor's Survivor, ER's ER, Scrubs doesn't start for a few weeks still, Supernatural starts tonight (YAY!). Smallville was awesome last week, and I'm really excited for this whole season. Earl was good last week, too- loved the twist at the end with Randy, but as much as I want him reunited with his brother, Randy would fare even worse than Earl in prison. I'm eager to see how things go. :)
Friday
Moonlight -- 9:00 on CBS -- All the reviews said this show was awful. And I knew it would never live up to the standards for a "vampire detective in L.A." show that Angel set, but then I watched it. And I must say... I didn't hate it. The actress that plays Beth (her name it Beth Swann. Deliberate Pirates reference?) was absolutely horrible, but apart from a little bit of lame narrating, that was the only big issue I had with it. With all the bad reviews, I guess I can't really expect the show to last long, but I'm still gonna continue watching it.
Sunday
Returning Shows: Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad -- FOX Sunday cartoons. Same old, same old.
That's it. Only about 18 hours per week. That's really not that bad. My parents have 28, lol. (Now you can stop wondering where I get it from ;) ) But hey, is anybody watching any of these new shows? I haven't talked with anyone about any of them. Seriously, so far, I'd suggest tuning in to Journeyman, Reaper, and/or Pushing Daisies.
Other than the TV stuff, what else is going on? Hmm... School is going fine. Classes aren't as bad as I thought they'd be. Neuroscience- the course I took to be an easy science requirement filler- is definitely eating the most of my time. It's lame. My public speaking course isn't as bad as I feared, mostly because the class is filled with fun people, and we spend good portions of the class laughing and telling stories about Wennberg and such. For AP Comm, I've been doing a radio show every week, which I must say, I think I've been loving. Professor Johnson said radio could be my thing, and I think she may be right. I'll definitely have to give that some thought. I'd been enjoying my Multimedia class more or less, too. We just finished doing radio in that class, and now we're doing TV. I think I'm gonna miss radio. Not that I have anything against TV, really, I can just see it being much more annoying. We'll see. For my fourth class, I am SO glad I switched my minor (I should really tell my advisor about that. I mean, I do have class with her everyday...) and have Social Psychology instead of some lame CS class that I so would have struggled in. Social Psych's been cool- the stuff we've been talking about's been interesting, that is. We have some really stupid homework assignments to do every week, tho, but they're not collected till the end of the semester, so I haven't done most of them yet. But that'll be a crappy day when I do, lol.
Oh, and IM me if you want me to send you the mp3 of the radio project that Dave helped me with. It's hilarious. "The Crazy Dave and Sara Show." :-)
Work was stressing me out for a little while, but then the switch switched back in my head somewhere along the line, and I'm having fun again. I'm so excited for Happy Hauntings. :-D Here's hoping for good candy... for the children, that is.
Okay, well, I'm out of time. That was a fun update, tho! :-)
