So, a couple of key changes have happened since I posted last.
1. I got married.
2. I got a job in Raleigh, North Carolina and moved there.
3. I'm having a baby.
jk on that last one. But the first two are true.
I think everyone pretty much knew about the wedding and all that. Yay.
I've been in North Carolina for a couple of weeks now and so far I actually really like it. My office is really nice and the work environment is way chillax. My boss gave us our paychecks a week early and our commission checks three weeks early to help pay for the holidays. They also gave everyone in the office a GPS for Christmas so that those of us who are new to the area can't use getting lost as an excuse for being late to work anymore =D (you really do need either a GPS or god forbid a map to kick it out here. I miss the grid system). We did white elephant gifts and I ended up with a Chuck Norris Facts poster, which is pretty freaking epic if I do say so myself.
I work with this guy Eddie from New York who is seriously the funniest, most straight forward person I've ever met. The first day I met him he was talking about how much smarter his wife is than him (which is true), and Eddie, who's a big guy, says:
"If I was an employer, and I had to choose between the two of us, I'd hire her every time. If the job involved heavy lifting...I'd still hire her. She'd find a way to get it done."
I thought that was cute.
Besides work, Brian and I have been up to a lot of exciting things. We went to an NHL game, Hurricanes v. Flyers. The tickets were from a radio station the company advertises through, so we got really decent seats. VERY exciting. I had no idea how wicked entertaining hockey is. We'll probably go to more games in the future.
We also drove to New Bern last weekend to see my cousin play in a show and saw the whole OBX family, so that was a good time. My cousin is INCREDIBLE with a guitar.
We love our new apartment. For those of you who ever hung out at our old one, this one is twice the size and we have a DISHWASHER! It's nice. It's all decorated for Christmas - we have stockings hung over the fireplace, a Victorian Christmas village, and our Christmas tree is nothing short of a masterpiece.
Just thought I'd update anyone who cares. I'm out to go Christmas shopping! Happy Holidays loves!
