Snow day!
My office building has had no power since 6:30 a.m. When I strolled in at 9:30, amazed at the amount of rarely available open parking spaces in the shade, I figured tons of folks had taken the day off. Then I walked into the darkened hallway and saw what was up.
My staff was given the day off paid, and I now have a four-day weekend, which will consist of having the air conditioning on almost all of the time, along with lots of DVDs and books. Ahhhhhhhhhh . . .
