Lonely Road Trips with a Partner by Your Side

Apr 25, 2005 15:27

You never believe you'd want to go down the interstate at 70 miles totally blown until you've had that bowl and vanilla clove which you still grip in your hand. As the Flaming Lips beat massages your body your foot slowly pushes down on the accelerator drifting you into an unnatural state. Your mind is put into third gear and your sense of direction slowly drifts away while the streets seams to run farther and farther, your turns are getting sharper. Your head is bobbing back and forth hoping for no bruises of which you can not afford. Your controlling the wheel and feeling out of place and ready to swerve onto an open terrain of troubles and misfortunes which you couldnt of seen. Eyes of color and images of unexplained things makes everything seem normal and unobscene. The cars are drifting while your body lays aside.
Back to reality you realize your mind was gone, the state you were once in is a distant memory with slow remembrance of what you just went through. The music is back to normality, the vibrations are slowly leaving with a tingle of praise on the tips of your fingers with an everslow speed that seems to leave you wanting more of what you just had but of which you cannot grasp. Leaving it be and pushing onwards, your ride home will be of nothing more then one big trip of memories and slowly reminising the achievments which you have done nothign to accomplish.

Dearly,
Robb
