Deconstructing the Olymipcs (or whatever really...): Part Two
while at the beau club with sean, scottie and marci last night an odd thing happened... or shall i say an odd thing was observed. there are two TV's at this bar on either end of it. for a good 45 minutes (or longer) one television showed the long program for male figure skaters (olympics, obviously) and the was showing kickboxing matches.
on one end of the bar are men Ice Skating in flared speedo pants, dance belts, rinestones, and more product in their hair then i think should be allowed in Turino-
on the other end, two men in a boxing ring beating each other into submission or unconsciousness... whichever comes first-
the flamboyant vs. the brute
these are the extremes of my gender.
somewhere in the middle is me... at a bar... drinking PBR...
and then sean turns to me and exclaims:
"the Olymipcs are Northern Hemisphere biased!!!!"
at that jeannie (the bar-keep) changed the channels....
what was on?
women's golf and women's halfpipe at the x-games
we tried to get her to change it to mythbusters.... but she wouldn't have it...
oh well.
