Hi, just for my own interest, I found:

for cuer: nothing convincing/official. There's only a 'caller and cuer' database: http://www.ceder.net/callerdb/view.php3 ; no idea what it is about, sth to do with square dance, haha. Maybe a typo..

But for yanker:

From http://dict.die.net/yanker/ :
yanker n : someone who gives a strong sudden pull [syn: jerker]

From http://www.hyperdictionary.com/dictionary/yanker :
Definition: [n] someone who gives a strong sudden pull
Synonyms: jerker
See Also: puller

From http://www.realdictionary.com/Y/dir/yanker.asp :
yanker - jerker
Detailed description:-
1 Dictionary Entries found
---------------------------
1) n :someone who gives a strong sudden pull

And do not forget the puppet show 'Crank Yankers', on http://www.comedycentral.com/tv_shows/crankyankers/.

Bizzare! Yanker isn't all that strange a word when suddenly placed besides jerker...
Oh well, thanks for the information :)
