All right! Music post. Due to the talk with Josh on the bus home, i mentioned that i don't really listen to female singers very often - i guess that's not that true now, i've actually picked up a lot of new music recently that i really really love that is country or pop-ish, by a female singer.

Alli Roger - Iowa
I've had this on the playlist for weeks now, and i can't believe i didn't notice the title until i just typed it out. Iowa! *waves at Jas*

Vienna Tang - Cannonball
I love this song, and i love this cover of it! The original is by Damien Rice, if you're interested.

Lily Allen - Not Big
It's very very cute and the chorus is really catchy, but the lyrics seriously crack me up.

Frou Frou - It's Good To Be In Love
I couldn't decide which song from Details to upload... I finally decided on this one just because i like the line about cucumber eyes. In a bizzare coincidence I downloaded this album at approximately the same time my brother did, with neither of us mentioning it to the other.

The Decemberists - Yankee Bayonet (I Will Be Home Then)
Technically, The Decemberists are neither female nor a single person, but this is a duet with a female singer, so i'm totally counting it. :D It's a song about this man who leaves to fight a war, leaving his pregnant wife behind...

Michelle Branch - Life on Mars
I've never actually heard the David Bowie original, but i've heard a Seu Jorge version and a Dresden Dolls live version, and i heart heart heart this one.

Seatbelts - Cosmic Dare (Pretty with a Pistol)
This was one of the first songs i loved from the Cowboy Bebop OST...

Regina Spektor - Samson
"Your hair was long when we first met..."

Maria Mena - This Bottle of Wine

Sixpence None the Richer - Don't Dream It's Over

Finally, RACCOONS. Also, completely unrelated to everything, I have decided after smelling it from rubbing on my hand i am going to buy the apple scented Body Shop xmas body butter, because mmmm, apples. And the 2nd of December, Buffy night!
