So I am doing the whole physical check up on wed - yep that means taking more samples from me... And I will be updated on how I am doing with my hypoallergetic diet once those results come back. I'm not supposed to eat really anything but fresh, non-packaged, non red meat, non dairy foods. so really - I'm turning into brown rice here people.
Going to a restaurant while on this diet is a retard rodeo - I went for sushi last night and it was hilarious how many times the waitress came back and forth to our table. Granted it was Ho-Su (one of the sushi places that does brown rice sushi) and they are kinda slow there anyway.
Totally different note: Something I have had on my mind/chest lately is the AGO and their art installment at the Grange - which is the Boulton estate on the grounds from the 1800's. Many of you know I work for museums and I have to say - I feel like I have been mocked by this project. The money spent on it is atrocious, the disrespect for people who actually do this for a living, and of course the social responsibility to the public is absent. I hate it. My collegues hate it. One spoke out against it - albeit a lil hastey, and got in trouble for it. I just don't understand how they can get away with lying to the public without any remorse?! And how could the big wigs not have a problem with re-writing history like that to suite their needs/fill their pockets - I'm good with the idea of it as art - have it! sell all the tickets you want but PLEASE tell your patrons who paid good money to see this, tell them the truth of it once they are through the exhibit.
*for those that don't know I want you to not be spoiled by my rant so I'm trying to talk in code.... if you really want to know whats happened drop me a line...*
so ya. I have to say something - do something speak out but to whom? Will my job be at risk? Who should I speak to and through which medium? some have said to go to EYE or NOW... hmmm....
*sigh
other than that its busy busy busy - my one woman is up for the final time this spring then back again in the fall (they say its a seller and should be back then!) and Olivia is coming along - I'm also the fight director/captain (yikes) and choreographing the fights is harder than it looks. Kevin makes it look so easy. Well, it is easy for him! He does it everyday! But still, wow, new respect for him! Plus, he kinda helped which made it easier - its neat to see how much work goes into even the first move - the whys, the ifs, the hows - very interesting.... speaking of fights - the fight show for pirate festival is just starting up between Kevin and I... also exciting fun!
so thats that. Hope you're doing fine too :)
rants,
updates
