Sooo...I realized it's been a while since I last posted...and even longer since I last posted sober...ouch...lol! I just got back from our first REAL Red Hot Blue performance of the year. It was awesome, to say the very least, and as far as Gopher Hole performances go, that's a good thing. People weren't as destroyed as they've been in the past, so we sounded hot as hell. My solo went really well, and people complimented me really well, which made me a happy girl. our new songs went over really well too, which was fantastic. I love that group, I'm so proud to be a part of it. We are so much fun, and I love us a LOT...Rho Eta Beta for life! hehehe...I'm on a bit of a post-performance high, I can't help it. I also really don't want to do the French hw that's been stacking up, so I guess that's what led me to where I'm at right now. Life's been going pretty well actually. I'm pretty happy with the way school's going...I have solid As in at least 2 of my classes, and while the others need some work, it's not impossible to end up with high Bs or even As in them as well. This is a far better semester than I think I can ever remember having here, which is crazy for me. I'm SO glad that it's going that way, and I'm thankful that life gave me another chance to realize why I'm here and not let bad memories ruin this place for me. It really does have so much special stuff to offer...two of the best friends I've ever had, an amazing group that allows me to pursue my passion for music, and a whole lot of fantastic people that I would have missed out on if I had gone somewhere else. As much as I would LOVE to be closer to some OTHER people, I do finally think I've rediscovered my Goucher Love, and I'm so glad it wasn't lost. Speaking of people I'd rather be closer to...I spent one of the most awesome weekends in recent memory up at New Paltz this weekend, since I had Friday off, meaning I had a whole extra day to be there. Jon, you are truly the best thing to ever happen to me, and I am very seriously the luckiest girl in the world to have found you. I can never say that enough. I had an amazing time hanging out up there and meeting new people. Jon's roommates are insane, but freaking awesome. The girls...Lisa I've known since way back, but it's so cool to have found her again...I'd love to be closer with her, and maybe I'll get there in the future. Meridith and her girls from Fordham are awesome too, and I really hope I get to hang out with them again soon. The guys I didn't get to hang out with too much, but I'll be up there again. The guys from upstairs...aside from waking us up at unGODLY hours, they seem chill, and it's cool that they let us party up there. I can't wait to spend more time up there, and since the weather's getting colder, it seems more and more possible. Speaking of which...I BOUGHT MY NEW SNOWBOARD LAST WEEK!!!!!! It's SO gorgeous...this year's Burton Feelgood (the one Hannah Teter rode to the halfpipe gold medal at the olympics last winter) with matching Sapphire boots and Escapade bindings...the very picture of hotness! I wanted the Alpha (it's black and gold snakeskin...) but NO shops had it/were getting it in...so I went with my other favorite board ever, and I'm still freaking stoked. I can't wait for it to snow...it was cold enough today for me to rock my snowboarding hat, so I know it's getting closer and closer...this winter's going to be amazing too, since Jon's coming to stay with me at the mountain. I can't believe how soon it is! lol...anyway, I better get going, I have the longest day EVER in front of me tomorrow...I have to get up really early to finish French hw before a 12:45 phone meeting and then at 2...I'm getting a tattoo!!! it's really pretty...a snowflake...and I'll post pictures when I have them. I'm going to be SO brave...I hope! lol, anyway, peace out, much <3 to everyone!
