snow day tomorrow. life is good.
to me, tempi sound faster when it's late at night and slower early in the morning. just something that i've noticed.
my quartet is playing the third movement of shostakovich's tenth quartet during this CMC semester, and it's absolutely heartbreaking. we have an image but whenever i try to put it on paper, it seems forced and choked and that's not how i want it to happen. i've been trying to figure it out as a story but it might just be a little vignette like the last couple things i've written have been (sorry for their specialness. i just get pictures/scenes stuck in my head). i don't know. we'll see.
