Totally cute. :) And if I remember correctly, chaperons don't have to turn in a criminal record report.

Happy Birthday lemondrop34!

Thanks for reading!

The criminal record thing seems to be Canadian!

That was fun (aside from the puking lol). I loved the part where Reid had that poor teacher in the car with him. It was great! Lucinda showing up was a special treat too. Cute!!

Oh geez, I just laughed so hard I had to go back and reread parts. And I, too, am familiar with sympathy puke. I've had one of my kids barf, only to have another get so grossed out he barfed, too.

Most schools districts in the US require a background check to work for schools, but not necessarily a background check to be a chaperon. I think it depends on the state. My state doesn't require a background check to volunteer in the classroom or be on a field trip; however, the kids are kept together under the supervision of the teacher, and parents never transport children, either.

Thanks I'm glad it made you laugh!!

I don't know how my son managed to stay so calm. He was all "Mom, he uh puked on my hoodie, what should I do??" Then he just took off the hoodie and was fine. Boys, *sigh*

Thanks for the info. We almost always have parent drivers for field trips,it's a cost saving measure! LOL. When you volunteer you say how many children you can take and the teacher divides the class into groups. The teacher never drives themselves, ever. Apparently there are legal issues that prevent the teacher from driving so they always go with one of the parents. (often me) I'm glad my children are older and those field trips are part of my past!
