Ever feel like you have been told to paint the roses red?
One of my Bosses comes home from vacation, either today or tommorow. ( I work for a husband and wife and son) No one is really quite sure when she will be back in. Yesterday I found a to-do list on my desk that amounted to "please fix everything I have slacked on while she was away so I do not get in trouble with my mom" from the son. My favorite was Please predate this deposit so it looks like I put it in the bank last week.
(We have on line banking, which she has been checking from Hawaii.)
My thought is that at least we did not forget the mortage payment, or bounce the mortage payment, like the other children's businesses did.
The plus side is that in return for dealing with this sort of strange behaviour, I am allowed to have an extemely flexible schedule and to take much vacation every year.
I am hoping that somewhere in between checking on the various family businesses, They actually got to relax and enjoy themselves.
I found a new way to make myself crazy. Watch the Home and Garden Network, and then try and do one of the really simple easy projects that they do. I went to Home Depot to get the nice little brackets to attatch those poles with hooks to your deck to hang lanterns on. Turns out that the nice little brackets do not seem to exsist. After talking with many many people I found someone who had seen the show, and had been trying to figure out where to get them themselves. They had used cable wire hangers, that they had adjusted to work.
I want to create that nice relaxing outdoor space. I just hope I do not go crazy getting there.
