We got a CSA farm share this year. The hard part so far has been paying and then waiting for the season to start in June. Today I got my first pick up notice to come a week early and ...
"Your first farm share pick up will include gorgeous head lettuce, baby arugula, komatsuna, tot soi, baby bok choy, garlic scallions and some broccoli....maybe more!"
Wow. I did not know what komatsuna and tot soi were before today. They are both Asian leafy vegtables. The recipies I saw looked good. It did amuse me that the information I searched on them said "this large leafy green is grown almost exclusively in Japan, Taiwan and Korea." ... and Easthampton MA.
Now I am looking forward to some yummy salads and stir fries.
