Remix reveals (and Adaese wins!)

Jul 05, 2015 19:41

So, Remix reveals are up!! I got three amazing stories from 3 of my favorite writers, WingedFlight,
edenfalling , and
syrena_of_the_lake

For the main exchange, Winged gave me the hilarious remix of the llamas on the lam.  Winged is so wry and clever and she just nails this story.

And for remix madness,

This is gorgeous.  I love how Liz gives the Star's daughter so much agency in her journey and choices.  It's lovely.

And then Syrena wrote a veritable tear-jerker with Jalur and the Cub.

Additional Tags: Crossovers & Fandom Fusions, Alternate Universe - Modern Setting, Alternate Universe - Modern with Magic, The Bastard - Freeform, Case Fic, Character of Faith, Canon Trans Character
Summary:At first, Curtis Atherton's death appeared a simple suicide. Of course, nothing is simple when the Bastard is involved.  Sherlock Holmes, Doctor Joan Watson, and Ms. Hudson, Acolyte of the Bastard, are on the case.

I loved writing this story and really appreciated
heliopausa for her help and her and Metonomia's beta assistance. It was a case fic, and long, which made it hard but the story, originally written for me at Yuletide, begged for expansion.

The second story was for the Lizzie Bennett Diaries and my thanks to
syrena_of_the_lake  for the beta assistance. My recipient really liked it and I really enjoyed trying to write Darcy during the Netherfield arc. He's a fundamentally decent person but also an arrogant jerk so it was a challenge to balance the two.

clouds in my coffee (the diamond in the rough is looking so sparkly remix) (2296 words) by rthstewart
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Lizzie Bennet Diaries
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Lizzie Bennet/William Darcy
Characters: Lizzie Bennet, William Darcy, Bing Lee, Caroline Lee, Jane Bennet
Additional Tags: Netherfield Arc
Summary:The thing about living with someone for an entire month who you are otherwise attempting to exorcise from your existence is that you learn all manner of things about her you could have gone your whole life without learning.

Elizabeth, having rather expected to affront him, was amazed at his gallantry; but there was a mixture of sweetness and archness in her manner which made it difficult for her to affront anybody; and Darcy had never been so bewitched by any woman as he was by her. He really believed, that were it not for the inferiority of her connections, he should be in some danger.
Pride and Prejudice, Chapter 10, by Jane Austen
