home again

well, i got home in one piece. the roads were suprisingly good, and i didnt hit any snowstorms. it was really windy though, and driving through indiana there is nothing to look at except farms distant from the road. it was cool though, because it was windy, all this snow was swirling around, and it looked like a dust storm but it was snow. like all the area was just covered in haze. i saw the most beautiful sunset too, except i was driving away from it, i just wanted to keep looking at it. thats one thing that indiana has michigan beat at, hands down is the sunsets. i cant say ive been up early enough to see it rise, but maybe some day.

today i went househunting with sara. we found this really cute 2 bedroom house that is dark green, and the whole inside is hardwood floors and molding. its a little pricey but i really want to live there. its so convienent for both of us. plus it has a porch swing. like i said, all i want in a house is a porch swing. plus its right across the street from the guy that sells amazing ribs on home football and basketball days. and we can get kittens!

we shall see what this break holds. im about to go to a holiday party at my boss's house. i havent seen those ladies in a really long time, like since june. i dont know what they will think of my dreads, they might pretend to like them, or they might just be totally old school about it. im probably not working for them this summer, so i dont have to worry about looking professional. its kinda weird because im going, but neither of my parents are, because they cant. i dont feel uncomfortable, because i know them well, and have worked there on and off since my jr yr of high school, but its just funny to me i guess.

and another thing. i got home, and we dont have a xmas tree. what the heck? i cant believe that my parents waited for me to get home. or maybe we just arent getting one? who knows, theyve gone crazy.
